We Are 10 Seconds Closer to Midnight

Hi everyone,

I wanted to follow up on the announcement from the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists from earlier today.  

The members of the Science and Security Board moved the hands of the clock to 90 seconds to midnight.

We are 10 seconds closer to Doomsday than we were yesterday.

The scientists at the Bulletin sited the war in Ukraine, global warming, disease outbreaks and disruptive technology as the reasons that humanity is not safer than it was last year.

Imagine this: We were at the two-minute warning, now we’re down to a minute and a half.

The next Cause of Death – 100 Seconds to Midnight will be centered on the Board of Atomic Scientists and their decision to move the clock closer to midnight.
